Position Description:
In close collaboration with the PI, Lab Assistants, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergrads, the SRA II will lead specific components of research projects focused on mammalian stem cell and developmental biology, organ culture, somatic cell reprogramming into stem cells as well as the differentiation of stem cells.

The SRA II will be responsible for wet lab techniques including mammalian cell culture, immunohistochemistry and histology, microscopy, quantitative PCR, protein extraction, and western blotting. Lab maintenance will include order supplies and reagents, maintaining inventory and lab equipment, safely disposing of biohazardous chemical waste, ensure lab and personnel are up to date with all regulatory organizations (EH&S, lab safety, Animal Research Committees, and Biosafety Committees). It is imperative that the SRA II has a strong ability to work on projects independently, meet strict deadlines, design experiments, communicate effectively, create formal presentations, write reports, edit/finalize presentations and reports for all team members, and present to academic and industry collaborators on a regular basis.

The SRA II must be highly organized, self-motivated, able to motivate others, capable of multi-tasking, an excellent team member, and an effective communicator. The SRA II will have knowledge of statistical analysis in Prism and prepare data in figure format for dissemination in regular formal meetings, scientific literature, and relevant stem cell and reproductive science conferences.

The lab techniques needed are: Proficiency in mammalian cell culture as well as basic molecular/biochemical techniques (RNA prep, qPCR, cloning, western blotting).
