Outreach & Extension: Develop a multi-faceted, evidence-based Extension program designed to educate the general public about the relationship between nutrition and human health.

Obtain external funding and develop partnerships to support delivery of statewide and national nutrition Extension programs.

Provide leadership and professional development for statewide county-based Extension educators including identifying and developing nutrition and health research-based resources to be used on the local level with the general public.

Work closely with the University of Idaho Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Program Leader on national nutrition and health initiatives relevant to Idaho.
University Service & Leadership: Provide service to the unit, college, university, and professional organizations.

• Ability to provide leadership and coordinate Extension nutrition education programs that address nutrition needs of diverse populations throughout the lifecycle.

• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
