CCI Health & Wellness Services is a group practice that empowers patients to partner with staff for an unparalleled healthcare experience. Through integrated teams in a learning environment, we deliver high quality, affordable, care to every patient during all stages of life. We provide services to the medically under-served at 14 sites in Montgomery and northern Prince George's counties in Maryland. Our services include primary care, behavioral health, dental, adolescent health, HIV and infectious disease testing and treatment, prenatal, and family planning. CCI Health & Wellness Services is also the largest provider of WIC services in the state of Maryland.

CCI Health and Wellness Services is looking for a part time (0.5 fte) psychiatrist to support behavioral health care by providing consultation to our providers. The psychiatrist will also provide assessments and direct care to CCI patients as needed.

Duties

· Provide telephone, electronic and/or in-person consultation with providers about patient issues. These issues can include diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, or other issues.

· Provide direct consultation for complex patients, making recommendations to provider.

· Provide time-limited ongoing care for complex or high-risk clients.

· Consults on behavioral health systems and processes.

· Teaches CCI providers and staff about behavioral health topics such as psychopharmacology, diagnosis, treatment, management of challenging behaviors, etc.

· Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork and excellence among staff. Meets with program staff on a regular basis.

· Works collaboratively with all providers to ensure coordinated patient-centered activities.

· Participates in strategic and operational planning.

Requirements

· Medical degree from an accredited university, residency in an accredited psychiatry program.

· Licensed to practice medicine in the state of MD

· Board certified in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or other psychiatric specialty

· Experience in community psychiatry setting.

· Experience in integrated care settings

· Demonstrated leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills.
