General Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in medical assisting, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their healthcare careers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance medical assistant curriculum materials, lesson plans, and hands-on training activities aligned with industry standards and participant learning needs.
· Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in areas such as medical terminology, clinical procedures, anatomy, pharmacology, and patient care.
· Hands-on Training: Facilitate practical training sessions that simulate real-world medical assistant tasks, ensuring participants gain practical skills.
· Clinical Skills: Teach essential clinical skills such as taking vital signs, administering injections, performing EKGs, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining medical records.
· Health and Safety: Educate participants on infection control, patient privacy, safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized healthcare environment.
· Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct assessments and practical exams to evaluate participants' proficiency in medical assisting skills, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
· Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one guidance and support to participants, addressing their unique learning needs and career goals.
· Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, ensuring participant engagement and adherence to safety standards.
· Collaboration: Collaborate with program staff, support services, and industry partners to facilitate internships, job placements, and real-world experiences.
Qualifications:
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
· Minimum of three years of experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
· Experience in teaching medical assisting topics to students or professionals, preferably in a vocational or educational setting.
· Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and healthcare regulations.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Passion for supporting young adults in their healthcare career journey.
· Familiarity with educational technology and willingness to integrate it into teaching practices.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000
